ERIC AUSTEN WITH ME , GEA , AND THE ORIGINAL BOWL IN THE

PHOTOGRAPH WHICH I JUST FOUND, WITH THE ORIGINAL C.N.D.

PEACE BADGES WHICH MY FATHER MADE, THE FIRST ONES
. I helped my father chose the design .. I was there as I am here sitting in front of this PC ! Its definitely NOT a cross,, or linked to the Nazis.. Gerard Holtom and my father and I.. debated over which sign to use.. it took a long time of looking at sheets of paper all over out dining room table,, with different designs on, the ones I remember were ALL circular.. it was a matter of what wen
t inside.. the general consensus of opinion was that it was the morse code sign for N and D.. which put together made the symbol.. my father told me it meant man in the middle and the unborn child , the circle,, my father, by that time had turned against religion,, for his own reasons, though he retained a very good knowledge of the Bible,, but he would not have ever allowed a cross to be used.. I m just talking to my Mother now and she has confirmed that the inner symbol means the The Death of Man.. I suppose because I was six my father didn't want to say that so he told me ,, he really believed that if the Atomic bomb was used it would mean the death of the human race.. my Mother is adamant my father designed it.. and I knew my father had endlessly researched symbols,, but I also know my father believed he couldn't draw,, he used to really encouragetage me with drawing becuase he said I could draw well, he loved painitng more, but it would have been very likely he would have asked Gerald, who was a friend and good at drawing to draw his ideas,, my fathers ideas,, he spent so long pondering over which design to use.. so quite honestly I believe implicitly my father designed it.. he had an extraordinary depth of knowledge.. quite formidable.. so there it is ...Gea Gea Annunziata Austen
all handpainted , the little face on the left is the sort of thing he used to do,
