I've been growing roses for thirty years...
I've been photographing them for years,, before digital.
the other is a DD .. it would be really fun to get one..

......A Faded Rose

The rose that once had been so perfect.
Petals pleading to be touched,
fragrant with the most Heavenly bouquet.
This rose, reminiscent of another life,
was found in quiet repose,
pressed between pages of poetry.
No better place for interment
than resting in the loving arms of favored.
sonnets whose lines will recapture her beauty in verse.
The essence of rose and love will ever live on in my heart,
just as the bearer of the rose has all these many years.
This dried, crumpled, lifeless rose is all that remains of our love.
I cannot now resurrect this rose, nor our love,
but for some reason I feel the need to try.
Failures are sometimes second chances.
Gently closing the book that contains my faded rose
and the tangible symbol of our love.
I put upon the shelf all our hopes and dreams
to wait once more for another place,
another time

sorry I've been ignoring my friends on here... really missed you all .... I'm staying with my special friend at Tapeley park and really feel very happy.. only recently worked out internet connection and photos etc. I've done quite a lot of paintings will put them on love to everyone ..xxx

for some reason my enthusiasm is waning... I feel tired and can't think of what I want to do ... love to my friends x

I feel like looking at lovely bright colours ... I bought some very pretty flowers from a shop ,, and am photographing what I can !

DD's make you feel good, for the first couple seconds after you find out... after that they become a pain in the butt, because suddenly you have all these new messages, favs, new watchers and so forth to deal with.
Your first DD is a great thing, but after you get the second, you'll probably start hoping you never get the third
