Starlings

The apparent simplicity of this picture is of a stunning beauty.
Three starlings stay on the ground looking probably for crumbs..but the impressive
elegance of the picture lies in the colours and in the particularity of their composition.
The great and charming contrast of blacks and golden yellows give tridimensionality to the whole scene: the three little birds , forming just an imaginary triangle,emerge from the golden grey ground with their sharp hues of black and brown. The sun light strikes them projecting their shadows on the ground, giving promince to their active presence.The entire scene is dominated from the expressive glaze of the central starling which seems to control (or protect?) the other two birds, placed along parallel lines.
